Yaakkai (Eng: Body) is a 2017 Indian Tamil crime thriller film directed by Kuzhandhai Velappan, starring Krishna and Swathi Reddy in the leading roles. Featuring music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, the film was released on 3 March 2017.
This is an out-and-out romantic film and the story revolves around the love story of the lead characters, Kathir and Kavitha. Most of us can relate to Kathir and Kavitha’s characters. Yaakkai is a college-based subject, which was extensively shot inside a college campus in the city. We have also canned a few scenes in Coimbatore, Ooty and Kothagiri. Prakash Raj has played the role of a cop. Singam Puli and MS Bhaskar have also played crucial roles .
He adds, In the time of horror films, this love story will be a heart-touching one and it will be a different treat amidst the regular mass entertainers.
