Oyee is a 2016 Indian Tamil movie directed by Francis Markus. The film stars Geethan Britto and Eesha in lead roles; Nagineedu , Sangili Murugan , Arjunan Nandhakumar and Papri ghosh play supporting roles. The Oyee soundtrack album and background score were composed by Isaignani Ilayaraaja. Audio was launched by Kamal Haasan on 22nd January 2016.
“It’s a story along the lines of ‘Thevar Megan’, with focus on the bond between a father and son. Set against a rural backdrop, the film has a very strong role for the heroine, and this could be even called a heroine-centric film,” he said. The story also has a Silambam (a weapon-based Indian martial arts form) connect.
“Geethan underwent training in Silambam for nearly a month before we went on the floors,” said Markus, assuring that the film will appeal to the audiences across all sections.
The film, which has music by maestro Ilayaraja, was shot non-stop for 40 days in Pollachi.
Story of Krishna and Swetha, two people on seemingly different tracks. Swetha yearning for her family and Krishna trying to break away from his due to differences and the love of a woman, Gayatri. A chance meeting and unfortunate circumstances, places Swetha in Krishnas world and chaos ensues as he tries to convince his family that she is not the one he is in love with. What is keeping Swetha at Krishnas house? What will happen when Gayatri arrives? What will the family make of all of this Drama?
