9 Thirudargal is a 2015 Comedy Tamil movie directed by Vijay Paramasivam and produced by Golden House Creations. 9 Thirudargal movie stars Saran, Akansha Mohan, Y. G. Mahendra in the lead role. This movie released on Friday, September 11, 2015.
Vijay Paramasivam, who makes his debut as a director, has put together a harebrained plot which involves nine important characters. Veteran actor Shanmugha Sundaram is on the verge of passing away. He reveals to one of his loyal-turned-greedy manager, played by Nizhagal Ravi, about the extensive assets worth Rs. 50 crores he owns in Chennai on his death bed. But there is a cringe-worthy twist here. The assets can be utilized only after getting the finger print of Shanmugha Sundaram’s mentally challenged son, who is being taken care of by Adaikkalam Arakkattalai spearheaded by YG Mahendran, who plays a serene, respectful father.
Interestingly, the big revelation Shanmugha Sundaram disclosed on his death bed was also heard by another bunch of servants, who convey the same to interested parties to snap the assets soon. When everyone fabricates various reasons to stay in the health care home, a sincere nurse eavesdrops their conversation and gets murdered on the same night mysteriously. Who’s behind the murder? Who will get the Rs. 50 crores assets of Shanmugha Sundaram? This forms the story. The old-fashioned story is let down by poor performances from the lead cast. YG Mahendran, Nizhagal Ravi and Singam Puli are the only consoling part of the novice cast.
Akanksha Mohan looks like a good talent and if given meaty roles, she could prove her potential. Maria Gerald’s music has taken so many inspirations from a busload of films.
